We've been collecting, altering and repurposing antiques and other vintage items for about 40 years now, traveled the SEUS and been regulars in Webster, Florida (1 of the largest antique and flea markets in the South), Mondays in season for decades. There's hardly a swap meet, flea market, antique shop, vintage clothing store, thrift shop or yard sale that we can avoid frequenting and Mick has been restoring (and unfortunately when necessary salvaging) vessels (row, sail, power) for about 4 decades also. Some boat parts are sold, others repurposed, and even others wholesaled to creative artisans regionally in Florida (shipping many large diesel and gas engine & transmission parts isn't financially practical when the goal is to water jet or torch cut and weld said crankshaft in to an art piece, etc.).
